As a teacher or group leader, no doubt you will have heard or read stories by providers like us who wax lyrical on the benefits of "outdoor learning". We admit it, we mention it a lot too, that's because we really do believe in the benefits attached.
However, instead of us going on and on we thought it was time that you or some of your pupils had the chance to tell us exactly what it means to take part in a trip outside the classroom and what sort of effect it can have on those who take part.
In no more than 300 words: Tell us what you did, what sort of activities you took part in, what it meant to you and to your pupils, and why it's so important for children and young people to have opportunities like these.
The best entry (as judged our education team) will be published on this website in the new year and as a reward we will also give the winning school a £250 discount off one of our low-season residential visits*.
Simply email your entry to firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date for entries 23rd December 2013
We look forward to hearing from you
*Trip to be taken between 1st Nov 2014 & 28th February 2015
