Hostelling Scotland is the largest network of tourist Youth Hostels in Scotland, offering over 70 locations across the country, including affiliate partners. The Youth Hostels provide high quality, independently inspected, affordable accommodation with a friendly welcome for anyone travelling around beautiful Scotland.
By working in partnership with First Education & School Travel, our joint intention is to provide schools and groups with numerous options for taking part in residential trips in a wide range of fabulous, safe and secure locations throughout Scotland with a distinct intention of providing low cost, high quality residential visits that encourage inclusivity. Our partnership provides schools and groups with an all-inclusive option that removes a good deal of the required planning that normally goes into organising such a visit. The residential visits options provided through this partnership include: ALL TRAVEL - ACCOMMODATION - MEALS - ACTIVITY OPTIONS.
NOTE: Schools and groups are also able to arrange their own activity programmes and course content and in this case the package provided will consist of TRAVEL - ACCOMMODATION - MEALS only.... we believe this offers group leaders real flexibility should they wish to deliver their own activities to meet their own bespoke aims and objectives. A list of nearby attractions is listed under each venue page.
This exciting new partnership will initially be rolled out to include 8 SYHA venues including: Rowardennan, Pitlochry, Glasgow, Stirling, Braemar, Oban, Cairngorm Lodge and Inverness. Take a look at the venues pages for more information on these fantastic group friendly Youth Hostels.
SYHA's purpose is to provide the advancement of education for the public benefit by helping all, but especially young people, to experience Scotland's natural heritage and places of historic and cultural interest. SYHA aim to provide and maintain Youth Hostels in a diverse range of locations to enable visitors from home and overseas to visit some of the most glorious parts of Scotland and to have an opportunity to learn and take part in new experiences in the great outdoors.
SYHA (Hostelling Scotland) is a charity established in 1931. This means any surplus generated is put back into the Youth Hostel network and contributes to the SYHA youth inclusion programme, Give Us a Break. SYHA receives no government funding, income comes from member subscriptions and the sale of tourist accommodation. SYHA continue to source funding to sustain the unique network and youth inclusion programme, which is why they seek funding from individuals and organisations who support their charitable objectives.
