Located on the eastern shore of the Isle of Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde FSC Millport is easily accessible being just an 8 minute ferry crossing from the mainland. The Centre lies just 1.5 hours from Glasgow by road or train. The centre offers fieldwork experiences on this unique island setting for all ages and is ideal for marine field teaching, being sheltered and within easy reach of a variety of marine habitats.

Exploration and discovery on the Isle of Great Cumbrae. This multi-night package sees pupils immersed in Island life, unearthing the historical secrets of the Island and investigating living things whilst working together to overcome a series of exciting team challenges. All teaching content closely matches Curriculum for Excellence requirements.
This programme will develop student's relationship with each other, themselves, and the world around them. Through a variety of challenges and activities they will discover what shaped the landscape, what lives there now and consider future scenarios.

The recently refurbished centre can accommodate up to 138 people. It houses it's own Aquarium, Academic Library, Museum and even has it's own research vessel. In its setting close to the shore Millport is an incredible venue and wonderful location for pupils to visit outside of their normal everyday surroundings.
